Hi everyone,

I recently moved all the components in my sig over to a Fractal R4, and since then, I'm getting crashes in my games everytime I run them for about 15-20 minutes. The screen will freeze for a couple of seconds, before returning to the desktop and displaying the standard (Program X has stopped working, Windows is blah blah blah) Before I moved the components I could play the new Tomb Raider non stop, but now it is so frustrating to play!

I have OC'ed the GPU, but this was no problem in my old case, and I don't think heat is an issue as I've checked and the temperatures are very similar.

Anyone got any ideas?

a soft crash as you describe is normally a GPU voltage issue, as always check all the cables are secure then turn the volts up a little and see if that cures it

Return everything to stock clocks and see if it still crashes. While playing the games, does everything look right? Or are you getting odd colours/shapes appearing?

Thanks for the suggestions, ill give them a go when I'm back home tonight! Regarding the games, everything is fine, i don't get any artefacts, which made me think the overclock was ok. Weirdly i ran Furmark for 20 minutes and that didn't cause a crash, so I'm beginning to think maybe it is a problem with steam and a reinstall of Windows might be on the cards :/
