Gaming PC for a friend.

Hi all,

A friend of mine has managed to scrounge up £2000 and he wishes it to be blown on a brand spanking new gaming spec'ed PC.

However, neither he nor I, know what we're looking at

If anyone could help that'd be awesome

So overall he needs a new,

CPU, Motherboard, Power supply, Graphics Card, Sound Card, Case... you get the idea; everything new.

He doesn't need a new monitor since he recently purchased a 19" LCD, but anything else like fans and coolers would be needed?

well the worlds his oyster..

Maybe look look at a :

dual core 4400+ (bargain chip IMO) or if money to burn - an FX60
2 x X1900 in Crossfire
Some nice 2GB Mushkin PC4000 Redline memory,
and a stable Seasonic 600W PSU.

and 1 or 2 150gb raptors for fast load times etc

That's what i'd buy. Though probably needs a tweeking. Plus it also has a PhysX card and 2 lovely x1900's in a brilliant looking case that has 2 120mm fans already attached
