Gaming PC help

waste of money though. doesn't even bring tangible real-world benefits.

I knew that from the start and yeah i agree, save the op some money and go with a value oriented build not performance as the differences are not worth it.

Monitor is decent though as i have one my self.

The motherboard is solid though am thinking about future processor upgrades and that board should have no problems with ryzen 4000 series all of the ryzen 4000 series processors, because i looked at this below.

When you go with amd, make sure you get a decent motherboard that will support all future amd processors upgrade or whatever, otherwise you might get a motherboard that won't support all of the future processors.

The only thing i would change is the ram, to save some money like this below.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £137.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

Or at the very least go with this below as 3200mhz can do the job but 3600mhz is considered the sweet spot.

Total: £88.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

not worth it is a gross understatement lol. practically throwing money away.

correct, kinda, except that boat has sailed somewhat. at best there will only be ryzen 4000 left on the AM4 platform - if it comes before 2021.
with ryzen 4000, amd are supposedly aiming for energy efficiency (even more so, than in comparison to ryzen 3000) so it is likely that any x570 boards should support all the ryzen 4000 chips.

there really isn't any need to spend more than £240 (asus tuf gaming plus wifi) or £210 (aorus elite) on a mobo.

Well the x570 motherboards as you know, support pci-4 for the nvme m.2. and the op could have a raid 0 nvme m.2. drives.

But yeah the x570 have pci-4 and there is little point now unless you want to run those ultra fast nvme m.2. drives.

The op could get a motherboard that cost 100-150 roughly that would do the job and also be future proof for future 4000 ryzen chips prehaps.

Your more literate then me as i am a bit rusty but yea.

I have this motherboard below and yeah, but the taichi board supports faster ram (o.c.) then this motherboard below.

we're comparing x570 board vs x570 board here though, so all those features you mentioned are inherent to the boards.

The 5700 xt holds it's own value wise, but it won't touch the 2080 super okay.

It beats the 2060 super though and costs around about the same.

Am looking forward to more navi gpu releases though.

Also that monitor i spec it is freesync which goes along with the 5700xt.

Dan.

Oi! @orbitalwalsh - spec me a Ryzen 3800X/3900X build with the best bang for buck quality x570 (it will be a Gigabyte) and ~3600MHz memory plus high end GPU and quality 27" 1440p 144Hz monitor for £2000 (monitor not included in price). Or, i'll start breaking 360mm RGB AIOs...
This made my afternoon.

Rx 5700xt Vs 2080 super ??
You OK Orbi?

Blink once for yes, twice for no.

Sorry, was regarding a list with rx5700 xt with 2k budget .

If it was on water.. hello big boy !! Time will tell for AIB and card might shine ! Love it if vendors did it at x8 PCIe 4.0 bandwidth to under it some pricing !!!

Also I'm currently driving a train !!!!!

don't blink and we'll commence cpr
LOL

Well, @tamzzy will - he's ol' skool trained and still believes in artificial ventilation combined with ACD - so i'll either aide with the ACD or shut my eyes, thinking of bunnies, while @tamzzy takes one for the forum, until the ambulance arrives (you can be oxygen deprived for 2 hrs+, right?)

wth lol 2h? maybe in an ice cold lake yes...
I was disparaging the Tories killing our strained emergency services (2hrs+ recently for heart attack :/) - but i'll get the ice if this makes it remotely possible and gets me away from the oral vicinity :p

There was that boy/woman a few years ago in USA stuck in icy river?.. If so, we'll just chuck you in a river Orbi, and let nature do its thing - shame it's summer...

Usually the way, along with refined drivers - here's hoping.

ah. tell me about it. A+E is literally a war zone. when sick patients are waiting in a trolley in front of the lifts...something has gone wrong somewhere.

correct. as the saying goes...you're not really dead if you're cold. you're only dead if you're warm and dead. lol.
