Gaming PC refresh

Will the Motherboard need it, it's the new MAX edition, Zen 2 compatibility out of the box supposedly
Yes, no problem on that front - you can pick yourself off the floor. :)

But there's been a new release (may even be on your board) - and it has 1.0.0.3AB. But you will find yourself updating a few times, over the coming months, as the BIOS/architecture is still in it's infancy. Same with the XT Drivers... (but no different to Nvidia).

Also, remember chipset drivers as soon as windows installed (reboot) then GPU and other board drivers... - and ideally avoid as much as the utility software as you can (if not using RGB) - *but this is a personal preference.

Lol, I hate messing about with BIOS etc, never had any issues before but always worrying about bricking something haha. I just checked MSI site and there is an update already, like you say its forvSupport ComboPI 1.0.0.3ab, whatever that is lol. As for RGB, not really interested apart from my keyboard, eyesight not what it was haha. Hopefully everything will be fine, not built a pc for about five years, will be back on here if not ;-)
Gonna have a quick trawl of the web and see if there any major settings in the BIOS etc I should be aware of before I start.
