Gaming Piracy

That article could have been edited down a lot as it contains a load of fluff and draws no conclusions you could not have worked out for yourself anyway.

Also a major omission was not talking specifically about Windows LIVE as this is an effective form of DRM as many games now need you to enter your serial number once before you can access the LIVE & multiplayer aspects of games.

MS are also expanding their PC marketplace which is where you will can via MS points the Fallout 3 DLC after christmas. This should prevent piracy a little as well.

Why are so many people up in arms over something that as far as I can see, barely if at all takes up any of your time or effort?

Because people want something to moan about without any justification for their complaints. I never had a problem with it either. Starforce! omgzzzz lolz1111 im not installing spyware.

Although I understand why games companies have the need for DRM and it doesn't really bother me, Starforce was a PITA!

I know I've had issues with 2 games with starforce, one was City Life. A Xmas present for the g/f that I had to mess around with for 4 hours just to get working on her PC.

DRM is only an issue when the legitimate user of a piece of software has problems with it when downloaders do not! I've never understood the issue with people bitching about not being able to install it on more than 3 PC's, why would you really want to anyway?
