Ok first my system

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
Intel CoreDuo CPU E8400 @3.00ghz 3.00ghz
2X 2gb Kingston HyperX ram DDR2
Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 1gb
Asus P5KPL-AM mobo
Jeantech 500 Watt PSU

Im having realy bad slowdown on all games i play, MW2 Runs fine at 1080p and all max settings only to stutter and slow down on other levels. Reducing the settings does nothing to fix these issues. Ive tryed all drivers also drivers from disk. Dirt 2 i get good fps ratings on benchmark test only for it to have an elastic band effect when i play, stuttering and slowing to 10fps and even with all settings lowest or highest no improvement. Is somthing in my pc causing this problem? do i need to upgrade somthing? Windows vista ultimate gives me overall better framerates but the stuttering and slowdown still plague me.Is this my ram or Cpu I am clueless, Please could a more advanced pc user help.

First thing the springs to mind is the low quality Jeantech 500 Watt.

Soundcard drivers can also cause this so try updating them.

Do you get any stutter or slow down while watching a movie?

I have a Q-tec 650 watt PSU would that be better? my Gpu requires 2X 6pin power cords, and my Q-tec only has one, would it be ok with 4 to 6 pin conector init? thanks.

@ Reiyshin what can i do about ram, get more or any other sugestions. My ram says 4gb but only 3.5 availible foe use.

No point getting any more ram as you only have a 32bit operating system. You need a 64bit OS for it to use over 3.5gigs approx.

Try the other PSU but i would highly reccomend a new decent psu as cheap one can blow and take out other system componants.
Corsair are a good brand for the price.600watt would be plenty for you unless you are upgrading to crossfire in the future.
