Looks great :)

One thing, thought I'd mentioned before! Ivy Bridge [Intel's latest CPU] is out soon [29th of April] and reviews should be out on Monday. As your order wouldn't be processed until Monday now anyway, might be worth a wait. Even if you don't go for an Ivy Bridge CPU, you might get an i5 2500K a bit cheaper. If you need the system asap, that's a good spec :)

EDIT: final note, make sure you get a 64bit OS to make use of the 8GB of RAM!

Haha fair enough, i plan on using the 10% voucher too to bump the price down, which gives me till midweek next week, so I guess theres no harm waiting a few days :)

Thanks again!

Cool :) Didn't realise you had a voucher, got to be used before the 28th I believe. From the thread where I gave mine away [couldn't make use of it unfortunately]

When you have the voucher, it needs to be used before Saturday 28th April.

You could always buy all except the CPU if you decide to go for IB, that way you can make use of the 10% voucher :)

Also, if you're in the UK and get to 100 posts you can get free delivery [it wont work with the voucher, but for the future and if you need to buy the CPU on its own later!]

It doesn't take long to get to 100 posts, just don't spam!

Definately wait as Beej suggested for IB CPUs. However to give you an idea now.....

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7850 Power Edition Twin Frozr IV OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £209.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £173.99
1 x Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT128M4SSD2) £116.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £84.98
1 x Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller - Black £52.99
1 x OCZ ZS Series 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £46.98
1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £39.95
1 x LG GH22NS70 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £18.98
Total : £759.85 (includes shipping : £12.50).

That case doesnt have front USB3, but does have 4 fans, a digital temp display and fan controller as well as cable management. The mobo doesnt do SLI/xfire properly though, beejs top spec does SLI/Xfire but i would want a 650W PSU..... not sure that 600W is enough, especially if you OC the CPU and GPUs too. For a single GPU 550W is ample really, if you dont want to dual card then there is no harm getting the cheaper Z77 mobo :)

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy tommorow, since by the look of it the IvyBridges are good but it will be a while till the prices settle? (Also i've got the 10% off voucher expiring soon!)

I'm looking at this;

Total : £786.86 (includes shipping : £12.50).

Which is basically what you've all helped me with, but I figured for another 35£ it was worth going for the i7 2600K? especially if used for programming, not just games. The case i've swapped out to what was suggested, mainly because it looks nicer!

Look good then?

Thanks!

Yeah looks good. Note that Ivy is about to be launched. But the 2600K is a great chip nonetheless. And seems to overclock better, although I wouldn't bother hitting beyond 4.4 / 4.5GHz.

But the 2600K at under £210? I'd snap that up.

However, careful with that 560 and that case. It's not massive inside, and the card is large, with triple fans. A better fit would be a 7850 or a regular 560ti. Or a bigger case like the shinobi / 300R.

bingo :) you may need a 8 pin extension for the CPU power, or run the cable through the front if it's a problem and you can sort it out later.

BTW I'm not a big fan of that board. 4-pin CPU power is a little bit suspect to me.
