Hi,

I'll be building a new gaming rig next week and looking to see if anyone would change anything, Looking towards red/black theme but not too fussed on aesthetics.

I will likely watercool and add a 3rd 970 in a few months, I'd like to keep it under 3k. I already have Keyboard/mouse and an Asus STX.

Personally id go for reference cooled 970's. I know you say you will be watercooling eventually, but on air cooling the wf cards aren't ideal in sli.

With a little bit of tweaking look what is possible..

I see it pointless spending that much money on a 6TB hard drive, whereas sacrificing it can enable you to go 980SLI. :)

I changed the case too, It just as good, just a little smaller/smaller rads. Still enough for that setup though.

Really you have no REAL need for the 5930k as 980Tri-SLI is just crazy, but the option is there..

Is 400mhz of RAM speed worth sacrificing 980SLI? I think not. :)

For the money that cooler is great..Toss it out when WC comes.. :)

Good point buddy, I'm not keen on those plastic reference blower's, It's a shame the 970 doesn't come with the titan cooler.

Well that's got me thinking! Thanks for the spec.

I do prefer the bigger case and a Samsung SSD & WD HDD, Here's where I'm at now: (I'll be buying Mass storage HDD in a few weeks)

Is 1KW enough for a clocked 5930k and 3 980's?

Iirc Gibbo stated that ocuk are getting 970's with their branding and titan style coolers soon. As your going to wc, even a ref model would do till you get the blocks. Case wise the enthoo primo is a stunner and has better radiator options than the luxe. It is a very large heavy case though.
