Hi,

I am after a gaming setup to play at 1080p as my current setup (e7200, 4850) is really feeling old now! For £450 what cpu, motherboard, ram and gpu should I get?

When I am out of games I do like to have a quiet pc so I'd be wanting a cpu or gpu which doesn't produce too much heat. Also with the gpu I would be looking at the upgraded coolers that say like Asus do.

Bit over but nice cpu, good amount of ram, motherboard looks fine and the gpu is pretty powerful with a good cooler.

Thanks for the spec, don't worry about being over as I don't need a cpu cooler so it works out well! Is it worth spending a little more for a better gpu or not much of a gain?

To be honest it's only worth it if you are going to go for a 7950/GTX670 or so....or if you on 120hz at 1080p(you never stated so not sure if you are :p) however the 7850 will manage games maxed at that res fairly easy unless you are putting huge amounts of anti-aliasing on which isn't really worth it in my view as 4xmsaa is usually enough.

Fair enough there, and no not 120Hz! I see it is a K version too so I can overclock, I wonder how these new haswells undervolt.
