Hi it has been a while since considering upgrading my last was 2008 and is what i still use it is a i7 930 socket 1366 with a 7970 graphics card it has kept up pretty well so far but I'm starting to see issues in some games.

So as you can imagine I'm a little out of touch with what to buy What would you guys recommend

My budget is flexable if i say £1000 as a start maybe extra if it's worth paying extra for the graphic card as i know some are expensive.

Thanks in advance.

Do you need/want a monitor or if you don't which one do you have?

Are you building it yourself?

I would go for whole new build as Minibiker recommends. Unless the system has some parts which aren't as old like a new PSU and new drives.

Yeah i think it is best to upgrade all parts except my ssd guess i may have issues taking my current windows 10 with that i assume Microsoft has issues with new components or am i wrong?

Yeah i will build it myself just working out what i should be looking for

For now I'm using a sony tv may upgrade it at a later date to a gaming one.

Do you have anything on your current SSD that's needed? If not you could always do a fresh Windows install for the new system...
