Hi, I'm looking to buy a PC for around £1200 to £1500 (with Overclockers building it).

I edit video in Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro (plus some image work in Photoshop) and I also play video games (mainly World of Warcraft and Overwatch) on a 3440x1440 100hz monitor with G-Sync, so I need an Nvidia graphics card.

I've linked two builds and I'd be very grateful for suggestions/improvements - thank you! :)

Can't afford 10 core X299 which would cost an arm and leg
I7 8700 non K and top grade B360 would save you a lot of cash and as your playing at such a high Res, there's no real need to 8700k or heavy overclocking - unless you want the VERY best

To have ocuk to build would be around £50-100 for basic build . Ask for Windows to be installed and key a CD key online for £15-30

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,422.46 (includes shipping: £12.60)

480GB for OS and Games, 480GB for Adobe CC and workload - move workload when finished to HDD

32GB , more ram the better !

Overclock gtx 1070ti to match 1080

Ideally you'd want 1080ti for that screen ...

Might be able to get it built for £1670...

Thank you so much for replying! I'll take a look through both of the threads and the builds - I know ideally I'd need a 1080Ti, so I may try and hold off purchasing until they announce the 11 series for a possible price drop in the 10 series.

Thanks again and have a great day :D

you editing 4k content of long videos ? either way try and push 32GB .
Also B450 should be out week 30-33 which isn't to long and can grab Ryzen 2700- bit slower in Adobe then intel but is cheaper. As worth a shout looking at DaVinci Resolve , specially as you can get it for free and loves threads and powerful GPU for editing!

interesting fact about nvidia I found out 2 weeks go- they require all Distributors and i Believe large Resellers to update them on stock levels every week . :)

I occassionally edit 4K video but generally it's 1080p animated videos (cartoon people, product explainers, etc.) and there are a lot of layers and images.

Thank you for the heads-up about DaVinci - I'm currently on Adobe CC but I'm always up for trying new software, so I'll definitely give it a go.

Good to know about Nvidia - hopefully there won't be any shortages like earlier this year

I have this one from OC got it three years ago: Not done for 4k editing though just 1080p/AVCHD
