This may sound like a daft question to you guys but I was wondering if having the gamma/brightness set high on the graphics card driver/utility in windows (and NOT the monitors brightness/contrast controls) will increase the operating temp of the graphics card as I assume it requires more voltage to have a higher brightness/gamma output? or am I way off with this lol

I probably haven't worded it very well but hopefully you can see what I am asking.

cheers

I don't know for sure whether control signals for increase brightness/gamma are voltage steps or binary code, but one things is for sure they will be very low power, The heavy current switching for the monitors back light will be handled by the monitor.

Sorry, So if Your on the thermal edge reducing the gamma is not going to help Your card ;)
