Garage floor paint?

Are these tiles hard or soft, im looking at doing something with my garage floor but not sure what. I do use ladders to get at things in the loft attic which means there needs to be a fair amount of friction so they dont slide, also what about workbenches and stuff would they be able to go on the tiles?

I used wickes garage floor paint, I had laid self leveling first so it was fresh and new then painted it a few weeks after. Its been down 4 years and the car goes in and out once a week at least. The floor is still perfect, if I get a dirty patch where i've been walking I use soap and water and it comes up like new. I'll post some pictures tonight if anyone is interested?

I think most people who use the regular branded stuff such as Ronseal have had poor results due to not preparing the surface properly first (myself included!). Although I'm not sure that the required prep is particularly straightforward for the DIYer.

Which is why it's good practice to use a primer before hand.

I didn't have to put it down fortunately, was done for me as part of remedial work on my house :)

Wanted the silk smooth epoxy resin but couldn't justify the cash myself and couldn't talk them round to paying for that.

Can't complain though put the car in/out the garage a lot and haven't had any lifting. Only damage has been dropping car parts and taking chunks out of the finish in a couple of spots :)

I've been looking at garage floor paint, epoxies, tiles for the last few weeks. Waiting for the house renovations to be finished so I can move onto the garage :)

The current floor has been down 40+ years.

I've already got some degreaser from screwfix to clean it down. https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-heavy-duty-degreaser-5ltr/88668

I'm thinking of sealing it first. This stuff? https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-water-repellent-seal-clear-5ltr/57474

Anyone considered rubber matting? Thoughts? eg http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263255466475
