Garage paint

Just resin it yourself. It can't be that difficult... £2000 sounds mental. It's just painting the floor with something that you have to work quickly with and be careful about how you roll.
To clarify I've still not done this but I'm not concerned about giving it a go once my extension is complete.

My concern with diy resin is the floor temperature required to cure properly and having to keep it dry during the curing time where we get a small amount of seepage under the door seal.
Pretty set on tiles now so I’ll see what the quotes come out to.

I just finished painting the walls in my garage... used cheap Leyland Contract Emulsion in White, £15 for 10L and it took just about 20L overall (2 coats; one heavily watered down and one neat), used a masonry brush at first but later switched to a big shaggy masonry roller which made it much easier. Finish looks fine

The floor I'm just going to put rubber mats down on rather than painting it as it seems quicker/easier

I may go with this approach too, as I'll be putting matts down for some of my excercise equipment anyway.

Here is my painted floor (international brand floor paint IIRC). I sealed it first with 1:5 PVA/water mix. It's been down almost 3 years and still looks good apart from where I have dropped some heavy stuff on it and I have a few chips in the paint. Not peeled at all. Cost me about £60 I think.

Well after getting a second quote for resin garage floor at £2k (just for a single garage) and not wanting to risk messing my floor up by doing it myself in the cold weather, I think i'm going to porcelain tile the garage floor instead.

Should be more more hard wearing than resin, will probably look nicer and come out a lot cheaper.

Just to follow this up, I’m now going ahead with the tiles. £450 labour, £80-100 materials and £200 for the tiles, so £750 all in. Will be using the dotti tiles which are highly recommended on PistonHeads in a checkered pattern.
