garbled screen with dots and lines

just booted to find the above had occurred. rebooted and the problem disappeared. anybody have any ideas pls. Thank you.

COULD be a sign of the graphics card going, but then again, if it's fine in games it was probably just something odd happened. Don't worry unless it keeps happening.

What graphics card is it btw as some 5850 owners seem to be having odd issues.

Yea don't worry yet they are just artifacts. Aslong as they do appear in post ur alright. Probably was just corrupted data being sent to ur graphics card.

I'm sure my 3870 did this a few days before it completley went. I think I've had another card that did the same but was actually fine.
