Garry's Mod is the single best game I've bought for years, for one simple reason: Multiplayer 'Zombie Survival' mode. [NL] Mr Green's Zombie server is a good one. Forget the other 'Zombie' mods you've played. Forget waiting for Left 4 Dead. This is hilarious fun!

Blocking up a doorway with a sofa + drinks machine (this barricade won't last long...):

Sure enough, zombies have sneaked in a back route and I've been bitten - time to get my revenge on the humans around me:

oh the fun i had with the onslaught map...

anyways i really got in to that and started using the wire mod seriously. might fire it up sometime.
 
It's a sandbox, an advanced one at that! Basically anything is possible inside the physics engine of hl2. $9.99 from steam, you need either hl2, or cs:s though to run it.

Was the beginning of my rocket.

Spent ages building the launch pad and the rocket on top, and just as I went to launch the thing I had a power cut. Half tempted to build another one :p

Yup, plus lots of multiplayer modes. I don't understand most of them - there's one mode where you have to build a fort and protect a ball from the other team.

I originally thought it was just a way of posing ragdolls and making crazy machines but there's more to it than that.
