You'd get much more money though with the exposure through steam instead of the personal website or something, even with the 50/50

Bloody hell I remember being in the same forum as this Gary when he first released his mod...it's gone far. I played the first version and thought it was pretty lame tbh.

Well wouldn't go as far as saying that they are a new EA but they do have to get their money somehow, market is hardly lucrative lately. As for 50/50 deal it's more than fair if you ask me, considering that the mod is using the source engine and engines like source don't come cheap.

My god, some peoples attitudes on here are shocking. Valve get succesfull (and rightly so in my opinion) and I know, we'll ignore the fact that they FUND THE DEVELOPER but we'll call them money grabbing SOBs.

Another stab at the EA comment, since when have valve been known for releasing an endless torrent of generic and awfully horrible games with no after sale support?

Its always good to see that a developer actually has active interest in the community like valve does.

atleast there are regular updates for games like source etc, where as ea suck at that, there games are released pretty much full of bugs, release a patch about 4 months later which just creates more

I personally think this is great news, been playing GMod a lot recently and starting to get really good at making things now, finally made a working plane/boat type thing and to see that this mod is going to be continued now is great.
