It doesn't cause children to be abused, people don't decide to molest children because they can make money out of it like some sort of business, they take the pictures regardless, and selling them is just an added source of revenue and the person in posession of them may not even have bought them. Websites where you can upload your own porn shows that people will create their own porn even if they can't make money from it. And there is no evidence that posession of pictures causes that person to go out and commit the crime. The fact that possession of videos of rape only became illegal this year, shows that the government don't even really believe that posessing these pictures causes harm.

Unfortunatley we are now at the stage where it's becomming illegal to watch videos of legal consensual acts under this government, using the same old argument that people use against violent video games (Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008). One small step at a time for government censorship.

Gary Glitter and his girlfriend are in Blockbuster to hire a video
for the evening. Mr. Glitter's girlfriend asks him what he wants to watch.
he says
"How about we get Aladdin ?". His girlfriend says........
"Can't we just get a video, you're in enough trouble already."
