I'm sure there are more than a handful of people here who dabbled with D&D and all it's incarnations since (and the many clones and homages that make up most of the Tabletop roleplaying world)

I heard about this last night and it made me think about all the good times I'd had because of not only what the man personally created and presented, but what his vision lead others to bring into the world of PNP RPGs and, more recently, MMORPGS.

All the long nights spent gaming with my friends in someone's spare room, to those hours I grab now and then online, I hold this man responsible - he's brought me immeasurable joy and some wonderful memories.

I hope that all my alter-egos in Greyhawk, the Forgotten Realms and a dozen other worlds are all standing at attention.
