Just had my gas bill through. 1 person living in a 2bedroom flat gas ch, from 7/12/07 - 25/3/08 i have used £220 of gas. This seems rediculously high; yeah i probably had the heating on a bit extra over winter but nothing extraordinary. It is an estimated reading and ive just had a look at the meter based on which it seems about right according to the numbers but in my head it just seems ridiculous.

What do you guys think, does this seem high to you?

Know there was a thread similar to this a few days ago but i cant find it, can anyone post a link to it for me?
 
we used around that but then again were 5 students living in a massive house with gas everything a lack of double glazing in some rooms and some people who might as well live in a tropical climate, so Id say yours is way too high
 
I have a gas central heating system which heats the water as well but it runs on gas cylinders and not from the mains.

Usually order 2 47kg cylinders at a time and this comes to just over £100. With the thermostat set at 19c and the heating coming on at 0530 - 0700 and 1700 - 2200 this will last just under a month when its cold (January). Water is on constantly but only heats it when you turn the tap on. The shower only uses cold water and heats the water itself.

2 47kg will last a good 6 months just heating water.

I live in a 2 bed bungalow with double glazing, wall cavities filled and extra roof insulation. I would say that your gas usage is on par with mine.
 
my new bill for gas and electric combined has gone from 70 a month to 112.
is this normal for a 3 bed semi? pretty angry about it.
Is this a good price or bad?

some of you lads are on another planet . gas bill £180 electric £150 . years ago gas was far more than electric . my mums gas was £380 we are getting ammered big time
