Gas question?

Has anyone heard of a new rule that you have to have your gas meter earthed??

We've just had BG come round and new regulations state that all new boilers must be earthed at the gas meter..

Never heard this one. .then why would I?

Yes we do, we had a letter come round stating that they could change our boiler and have UPTO 40% off.. when i fact it looked about 2% looking a the final figures. To replace the existing combi boilier with a condensed combi boiler comes to £3K (with the discount off)... I saw the same boiler in B&Q at the weekend for £800.. You can't tell me that a days labour for a plumber would cost £2,200...
