I could do with some help please. I have to give a 5 minute speech on

Living forever would be a wonderful thing.

could you kind people please give me a list of 5 things for and 5 things against the idea of living forever. I have the strain it would put on housing and health service but then become fairly stuck :)

Thanks for any help.

Depends are you talking about one person or everyone, if its just one person then it will be a case of you have out lived everyone you have ever know and loved

Hmm.. first of all do your own work!!

I'll give you two to start with!

+ve

See the world develop - hopefully for the better
See amazing advances in science and technology

-ve

Outlive your loved ones (as mentioned ^)
See all the strife that is to come... 'cos believe me its coming! (not to be too negative! :D)

Good luck!

O yeah, and if you live for ever, what would happen to you when the universe/world ends? would you end up floating round in nothingness or sitting some place with the G man?

thanks for all the help so far. And for those telling me to do it myself, I'm just after other peoples ideas:D not really cheating:D

You said you were a woman? :/

lots of room for improvement then.

-you can kill people you dont like,
-take on armies,
-infinite suicide bomb and make a great business out of it,
-as above see new tech
-see the world end would be nice imo
-see the big bang once the universe has collapsed on itself would also be cool
-you could tell the next population that lives how everything was created -and we wont have to have multiple religions etc. you could be the next god respect the ageless massive!

The quote from the film Troy might be worth stealing.

Achilles: Let me tell you a secret, something they don't teach you in your temple. The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be more lovely than you are now. We will never be here again.

Obviously when I say steal, I mean quote and reference. It's not a book but I think at GCSE level you can reference any media, and really the the wider range of media you research and reference the better. :)
