gcse exams

I'm in year 10 and have just had my GCSE ICT exam (OCR) on tuesday and have my first R.E exam (out of two) tomorrow.

ICT i found a lot easier than the teachers were making it out to be and finished it quite early.

R.E i'm not looking forward to, even though i should pass having got good mock results, i just don't like writing R.E exams.

Good luck to everyone else doing their GCSE's :)

Balinese was the answer, it had something to do with the amount of instruments involved.
I guessed it, but got it right anyway.

That paper really did have some awfully worded questions though. The African Drumming track was great though.
We were told it was Javanese because it had no structue

And for the violin rubbish I put experimental, there was already a minimalist piece so it couldn't be that and it didn't sound like serialism at all

The R.E. exam was a joke, no one cared about the half a gcse in a worthless subject so not much happened, the I.T. test in January.... well you know how crap edexcel are, the I.T gnvq course is an insult to a persons intelligence, all it is about is powerpoint presentations and microsoft office. And because everyone hates the music teacher only 1 person did the music exam.

Electronics Product

In Electronics Product as well as the electronics you also focus on designing cases, how to make things in industry through various processes, vacuum forming etc and an understanding of what plastics are better for what etc, thermosetting for Strip Heating. It's not bad but since I would like to study Electronics at a higher level a pure Electronics GCSE would have been better for me. The worst bit is that I can't do Electronics at A-level standard anywhere on the island!

Did my Resistant Materials exam this morning, and man i found that really easy!

The only bit i messed up on was the first design idea for a childs toy that will encourage them to walk, i went through like 7 different ideas untill i found one that fitted the specifications and didn't look like a spider had walked accross my page :(

Ok then I'm doing just the standard Electronics then, 60% exam, 40% coursework. Is Electronics Product a mixture between Electronics and DT then?

Did my Welsh lit exam today, it was much easier than I anticipated. The A grade I had been estimated now seems reasonable. :)

My next exam is Geography on Monday the 6th, giving me plenty of time to go over my case studies. :)

Best in school so far with which bit? THe coursework or your mock result? My mock for Electronics Product (what last years students sat) was 91% on Higher Teir but I don't expect it this year - possibly some of it was luck of the questions, and coursework for this year is around 94% <-- i worked really hard on it, genuinely, I changed from a 4510 + 4511 chip half way through to using a PICAXE18X to simply things, so had to do a write up on why I did that etc.

Aye same here, shanty towns = win.

Geography is one large case study learning fest :(. Biology seperate sciences isn't that great either, genetics just doesn't do it for me ;). Business Studies, now thats a fun subject, 3 exams, each an hour (i think one is an hour 15) and non stop mad writing from start to finish. And who says we're all slackers?

I apologise :'( I'll get rid now.
aww, don't cry just stick within 400x75 20kb (not animated) and you'll be sorted, your site is looking alright so far, just a bit of a padding issue on the logo at the moment though. :)

Yeah it works funny in some web browsers, I used NVU to make it, not sure what I need to do :S. The website hasn't been updated recently since I've been busy with work (I'd love to say my GCSE's but you all know I'll be lieing)
