Yep, absolutely cannot wait on that 2 month holiday, gonna be home alone for 1 month, so going out pretty much every day, and of course I need time to play my games...Plan is, go out all day, play games all night...

And you will keep that up for a few weeks til you lose the plot..

nice :p

Did you write something like that?

hmm not really I talked about how what set apart george and lennie was that they had each other, the fact that he was childish and innocent and about loss of dreams and stuff :\ basically just kinda threw up some stuff I knew and tried to fit it in with the essay question

Did anyone do "To Kill a Mockingbird", or "A View From the Bridge"?

I found it strange that the teachers were still reminding us before the exam to answer only the questions on our text. :p

I can't imagine many people make the mistake, but it has happened in the past so I suppose it could happen again.

I have my first exam on Thursday, R.E and I havent done any revision yet.

As people have already said, English, Maths and Science are a must for most colleges.

I need 4 C's to get onto the IT Technical NVQ Level 3 course I have applied for.

The framework for the IT Technical Support and Development NVQ level 3 only requires you to have two GCSE's Grade C or above in Maths English. other wise it is the dreaded Key Skills.

I am an Assessor for IT. ;)

I swear the extract from todays WJEC English Lit Higher (specification A) on "I know why the caged bird sings" isn't even in the book, me and my mates had never seen it before! & the poem "Shopkeeper" was like the worlds worst poem ever!

Had my English Lit exam today and for some reason I was entered for Foundation, but after doing the exam I am pleased I was, it was a lot harder than I thought, we did Heroes and I will be honest I struggled to get into that book.

Then we did the Simon Armitage & Carol Anne Duffy poems.

I think the exam should have been a bit longer mind, 1 hour 45mins was not long enough for the amount you had to write, unless I went to indepth

Anyway I am doubtful now if I am going to pass English Lit but the ICT exam was a piece of p**s :D

Got my Media Studies exam tomorrow and Thursday.

I did Higher but i got 25% extra time

and a laptop ;)

i have my product design on thursday 7 week after half term.

I also had ICT today after english, it was a load of crap, the only Q that got me was the photo scanner digi cam one o0
WE also did caral anne dufbag and simon armagate. i sware that CAD is mental all her poems are on death killing murder insanity etc. o0

I didn't like the poem either, but it wasn't too bad, and I had a bit of extra time at the end (due to finishing fast) to make sure that I fully understood the poem and thus I think that it went well.

Get some porridge on the morning of the exam.. and you will be right as rain.
Wrong, keep your day as normal as possible, if you'd eat porridge normally do it but if you'd normally have a fry up before learning do it. Same as if you'd always have a fag in the morning or whatever, keep your day as if it was any other day you were going in to learn.

Ugh, that poem was atrocious! All you could write was "He says people should notice the environment more." Managed to drag it out for a bit though.

Rest of the exam was pretty awful though - "How should an actor portray Romeo throughout the play?" Who cares? If they read the play they'd know.

Did the Edexcel ICT double award yesterday, in my coursework I got an A* and how easy was the exam !!!!!!!!!
Had an hour spare, finished in an hour and a half and spent the rest of my time sleeping and checking my work :)

Wooooo !

i never revised for gcse's, only really got b's, could have got better if i did revise, i regret that now, but with my a-levels i am revising, i know that i have no chance of passing without revision, my jan tests proved that

Is anyone doing Science on Wednesday 6th June with Edexcel?

If so I know theres Paper Set 1, and Paper Set 2 - does anyone know what modules are in Set 1 and what modules are in Set 2??

Thanks,
Gangster.

Hah, just found this thread, remember my AQA ICT exam on the 22nd or whenever. 2 Hours long - done in 1 hour, really don't care if i did well at all in that, but it felt so easy! Loved the multiple choice question on RFID tags where one of the 'possibilities' of which you had to say which 2 were most likely included the gem:
RFID tags should not be placed together or they will form an evil network.

And earlier in the paper when asked who might want to look at a school website, i could barely restrain myself from writing Paedophiles.

Anyway, big week coming up, Geography, Stats AS level, History, Science so the ones that i really wanna do well in.

Got my only exam on Thursday.

Haven't studied it in a year and haven't done any revision. Might sound stupid but I'm actually just sitting it to complete my A-Level (so I have an E grade instead of nothing at all).

I figure I'm just going to go in and write my info on the front then fall asleep.
