GD, Help Preserve my Sanity

Ah crap. Sorry to read that Edrof.
Have you considered spoon whittling?
On a more serious note last time I was ill for 3 weeks I did a load of distance learning courses. Just some basic HSE ones that were somewhat applicable to me. Anything you could do? What about getting back in to writing a bit?

Depends just how ill you are. When it hit me 4 years ago (spent Christmas day hooked up to a load of machinery) when I came out of hospital It took me months to recover (a bit...) and I pretty much had zero energy to do anything.
Gaming can be pretty tiring tbh.

I keep meaning to get around to having a look at Great Courses Plus. They seem to have a lot of interesting educational videos of lectures on almost everything and it's easy enough to get a month's free trial of it from various Youtube channels sponsored by them (e.g. Lindybeige). You pay some amount per month for unlimited access. I didn't see a price on their site, which is always a worrying sign.

Really sorry to hear this mate, I feel for you. I'm currently sat on the loo in a fair bit of pain.

I'm currently unable to work properly too, and was very active before being ill.

When I'm out of bed but can't do much I like computer games for a distraction, if you want to play games with a filthy casual let me know.

Didn't think I'd get so many replies! Thank you all for the suggestions and well-wishes - they are really appreciated. I'll be revisiting the thread as things change, I think, but for now I'm going to try to continue with a book project and have bought a model Churchill Tank kit to put together. I considered miniatures but I'd need to buy a ton of stuff. I'd love to learn Italian or do a course online but I have terrible trouble retaining information. World of Warcraft is helping but it is only a time-sink, really. :)
