I missed the entire Camoe episode, so I thought I'd catch up on it, but I got bored reading through all of the thread at once.
I'll provide a summary of how far I got and hopefully someone can summarise the rest?
Camoe, a teenager, joined OcUK forums in July and shortly after decided to sell some spare hard drives. The hard drives were sent in jiffy bags. All of them were dead on arrival. It isn't clear if they were dead on despatch. His response was that he isn't a shop and he's not responsible.
He finally agrees to pay people the money back, and promptly buggers off on holiday.
Meanwhile, the OcUK man from the internets finds him on Facebook and a character assassination thread commences, where Camoe is ridiculed.
Camoe watches the thread and angrily emails the man from the internets complaining, and saying it's not fair he can't pay.
The thread continues, much of which is "posting in an epic thread" and "ur gay Camoe" and bad tattyshops. Sockpuppets (seems more likely) or friends of Camoe are exposed, speak in his defence and banned.
.... at that point the thread seemed to go a little bit choppy.
What was the end result?
Did all the threads of "I'll see you in court" turn out to be true? Did Camoe make an attempt to pay back the money? Did the OcUK community say "Ah right ok, let's be reasonable about this."
Only you, the person who read the thread as it happened, can finish off the story. I, the person who can't be bothered reading it all in one sitting, don't know!
