The only thing I hope they improve is the shotgun host advantage when playing online. There were certain players on OcUk that always had to host and use a shotgun which eventually made me realise they were not that good at the game and were "cheating" as such.
Apart from that I hammered this game silly for ages.

I didnt watch the interview I just took the 10+ posts of people orgasming over 4 player co-op as the proof I needed
Co-op over two players doesnt work anyway. Its too easy. They dont have enough money or time or power on any console yet to be able to make a game that can be completed on single player on hard, that then maintains any sort of balance between then adding 1, 2 or 3 more players and still maintain a similar difficulty level.
They don't have an answer with what to do when a player dies either.
Gears with 4 player co-op would have been over even on insane in a very quick walkthrough.
5v5 is almost enough for MP, guess they still are worried about the lag. It needs more game modes though and the ability to play ranked with friends, then i'm sold.
The only person who ever hosted was Krono and that was only because nobody else could be bothered to pull their fingers out and set up a lobby. Everyone always waited for him to do it and even that was only for 2 weeks, which we then passed over host to Miss K because as you say the host advantage was ridiculous.
I hosted on rare occasions when people couldnt join Krono or Miss K's game because of Krono's crappy network.
They say they have added quite a few new game modes aswell as more new maps then even Gears of War 1 had (and I bet they include some of the old favourites too).
Tbh I would be happy with more of the same with the glitches fixed. I was never really bothered about ranked play either (except being able to host it yourself and get a huge advantage). If the limited game modes from the 1st one kept me entertained for 4 months hopefully this one will last longer.
Yes, he was the guy who always had to host, in games that had host advantage. As I recall when others hosted he didn't like it, even though he had a laggy connection at times. Anyway, just commenting in general.
Agreed. I liked the game online, but a few more modes would be nice (as it has a lot more competition on consoles now, it is a given it will have more anyway).

He never had a problem with others hosting though really, people just sat around waiting for him to come online and set up a lobby. Ask just about any of the regulars and they will probably tell you pretty much the same.
Then Miss K eventually got the game and we made her host so neither me or Krono had any advantage because it made the game too easy and boring.

GOW - a bit of a yawn fest? I got it for PC and got the wireless 360 controller so the experience was close to that of a 360 owner, but I found it very samey and dull. Maybe I just need to give it more time?
