Gears of War 2 MP Game Arranging Thread

Just finished for the night. Played Horde with ic1male and cheets and ffalic. Good games. Maybe try the other modes out tomorrow.

Single player has been a bit underwhelming so far but I am on Act1 which is quite early on. Still feels a bit too sticky to walls for my liking. Maybe need to tweak some settings for the controller sensitivity.

I thought Act I was a bit pants, rp. It definitely gets a lot more fun in Act II. BTW, I make no excuses for how crap I am at Gears of War multiplayer. I was never very good in the first game.

I will make some excuses then :) I am slightly better than I played tonight (but mot much!!). Just need to get my control sensitivity adjusted and I will be back on form.

Maybe do some more Horde tomorrow on Hardcore, if we can get a full 5 players that could be fun on the mansion level.

Seems like it's just the matchmaking thats not working for me now. Was able to join a co-op, though only briefly, and was able to accept an invite to horde last night, but it simply won't find anyone when using the matchmaking feature.

Man am I pooped. Up until after 1, and up just after 6...

Edit: Oh wait, the matchmaking does work. I just didn't realise I needed to give it almost an hour to find a match! Am I the only one having this problem?

BY THE WAY. One guy we played with yesterday did not have the map pack (free code inside retail Gears of War 2 editions).

Everyone should download this pack, to minimise confusion. It is 5 classic maps from Gears 1.

Going to get this today. I miss GoW O'Clock. Will Andy & Gandy be returning from the crappy football games they play these days?
 
I'll be up for some action after 3pm once the wife gets home from work, just downloaded the map pack too.

Did you do all 50 waves? When I search for public matches I can only ever get to around 30 when it starts to get really hard.

Did you do it in private or public? Because I've noticed in private you can set the difficulty to casual as opposed to the default "normal" in the public matches.
