GEDcom files after some help

Hi all ive got a gedcom file which i wish to turn into a tree but cant seem to find any thing to do this

Can any one help??

GED com is a pretty standard format, most genealogy programs can import one.

Try downloading the free 30 day trial for Family Historian - you should be able to import and then print the tree.

You should be able to import into an online tree on ancestry.co.uk

yea i used that site to make the gedcom file (very good site)

but there was 20 pages on that site and i could not find out how to make a full maped tree

That other site was dam good 12pages off tree

and am still finding new members and adding to it all the time

cheers bud well the only bit am stuck on is tracing back from 1817
i wish to find the parents of my my great great great grandad but the 1841 census i find to be no help
and i have no idea how to trace people back pasted that census year :confused:

When you go back beyond the census years you are into the parish records, recorded by the local churches. A lot of these have been transcribed.

I find the best place for pre 1800 info is the LDS website.

Also try posting on the Rootschat forums - incredibly helpful people there who have access to a lot of info.
