Geek Chic or just Geek?

Having a discussion at work about items like these, I personally think the are geek chic as to most people they look like ordinary items with a motif. Only a minority would actually know the true meaning.

So OCUK what say you about items like these?

But the majority of people would think it a funny little cartoon. It's not like having a Microsoft logo at all, as that is just the word microsoft with a chunk missing from a letter and everyone recognises it.
