I went for a trek around my local country park this evening, as the weather was quite nice..
Just wandered around and shot whatever I thought, although I was quite suprised to see the amount of Heron chicks which had made it, they looked a little Emo with their crests and grumpy glare!
I also tried out the 2x teleconverter making a focal length of 1200mm for some shots, I was suprised how well it worked although I shot with the 2 sec timer and tripod locked down @ F10 to get sharpish shots.
Contrast and colour is reduced but I was still pleasantly suprised by the result.

Only just managed to get this shot, saw it out of the corner of my eye and managed to lock onto it for one shot, wish i'd have framed it a little better and left some room for it to fly into.. not to worry, although I didn't think it was that bad considering 1/160th @ 840mm
