GeForce 980i

Try removing your USB drivers and then re-starting, windows should automatically install them. Also, try an different USB port, maybe it's just a bit funny some of my devices don't really like the USB3 port and others are fine in it. Failing that, try a different mouse just to rule that out. Wouldn't hurt trying to force windows to re-install the mouse drivers either. Go to device manager, Mice and other pointing devices and then remove it. You'll need to use the keyboard to restart though ;)

What do you mean? You're using the headphone jack (green normally) into your Sonos aux port and you get no sound? Does the sound come out of that port if you use headphones? Maybe that the rear ports are muted if you've connected front panel audio.

I'll try that for the mouse drivers, but the issue was there after i put the GPU in the first time, and it's there after i've reinstalled windows. So not sure if the driver issue is the culprit. The mouse is 5 years old so it might just be dying on me, i'll try another one.

All the sound worked perfectly fine, I basically use an AUX cable connected to the headphone front panel, into the Line-in on the Sonos play 5.

I used this to get sound for watching movies etc on the screen or for general gaming.

After reinstall everything worked fine, till I installed Realtek Audio HD Manager drivers which the onboard sound from the Mobo is.

However it seems to output it all to Digital Audio, and doesn't detect that i'm using analogue speakers? Basically I get no sound anymore if I plug headphones or the sonos in. The volume markers in the Mixer shows sound is being output though.

I had this problem when I first bought the computer too, and I ended up reinstalling windows and not installing the realtek audio HD manager to fix it then. But googling it, seems lots of people got this issue but none of the solutions others have found seem to work for me.

Want to say thank you to everyone helping me with the BIOS issue btw.

It made me breathe a bit easier, knowing I didn't waste all that money on an expensive card.

Even if it dropped like £200 in price in a few weeks after buying it :(

Tried everything re Sound. Nothing is working, so ordered a new sound card from OCUK, anything to get rid of Realtek.

Replaced my mouse with a different one and the issue went away, so seems my Logitech GS400 is dead.

Hopefully that should be all my issues sorted.

speak to the manufacturer about it; there is a possibility they will upgrade it for you. One of my buddys bought an EVGA 980 just before they released the Ti and they upgraded him; just paid the postage costs for the pleasure.

its worth a shot!

That sounds like the EVGA Step Up Program, don't think MSI will do the same.

You just bought your GPU at the wrong time.

As for the audio problem, could this be a driver conflict if you also installed the nvidia audio drivers?

I've now uninstalled the Realtek driver, and plugged a soundblaster card in. There is still no sound coming out from the system....

It's almost like the soundcard doesn't detect that there is any jacks plugged in?

So confused now :(

Ok so now I get Audio by using a USB plug, which turns a USB port into audio jack ports.

I still don't get any audio coming out of the system however on the Soundblaster or the Onboard sound.

Also I can't enter BIOS anymore after the flashing, the button does nothing? Was going to try disable the onboard sound incase there was a conflict.

Looking at the back of the PC, plug the keyboard into the top left USB port.

Some motherboards give priority to that slot.

Try CMOS reset.

If you have a keyboard such as a Corsair K65 try flicking the switch to "bios".
