Geforce driver issues

I'm having major issues with installing geforce driver latest version.

To begin with it told me it was not compatible with my version of windiws so I ran the auto detect java app on the Nvidia website and downloaded that

This time I got to license agreement and when I clicked "next" nothing happened. The button kept giving animation of being clicked but nothing progressed.

So, I ran DDU in safe mode and tried again .wrong version of Windows error. Rebooted .error, another install is running. Rebotted, back to the installer hanging issue.

So what the hell now?!?

I guess I could download older drivers??

Well going through windows device manager and 'update drivers' I've managed to update to drivers from September 2018...

Could always during GeForce Experience for updating drivers?
