Geforce Now - Out Of Beta

I can see this being quite handy as I took my Windows install off my MacBook. but now would be able to play Overwatch on that, which would be pretty cool :)

what is the point in **** like this...Onlive, Stadia and now this.
Its like companies just arent learning any lessons at all.

Maybe you missed my post, which contained a point you are asking for.

There's definitely a market for it. The big companies are providing software on subscription model and this is an extension of that by providing hardware on subscription model.

If you already have the hardware then I agree it isn't for you.

Nvidia really went the right direction for this. Allowing us to use our own Uplay accounts, Uplay etc. No more buying another game on another platform rubbish Google does. Was playing war thunder on my tablet and it was great tbh over 4g. Really amazing for only 5 quid a month

Been playing this the last two days and it's incredible.
Been playing
rainbow 6 seige
Cod modern warfare single player full settings rtx on 170fps
Doom 2016 200fps locked
Quake 2 rtx

Can't feel the input lag at all, came 3rd on seige even though I was on my oneplus 7pro with an xbox pad!

Completely impressed with this in every way.

All screen shots taken from my one plus 7pro

Even if you have the hardware there's place for it. For a small price you can play your games when you're away on a tablet/ low spec laptop. Even at home you can be playing in bed/ sofa without having to turn your main PC on.

I'll give it a go over the weekend.

That sounds amazing for using a phone. Is that on 4G? Wifi? You tried it when out and about/on the move?

Thinking this could be great for work trips in hotels for a week or so, but I would only have 3G/4G or scrappy hotel wifi I guess.

Gave the free version a quick spin, but I'm having a complete brain freeze....

I'm using my gaming PC to test and thought I would try a game I own on steam but don't have installed anymore on this rig. On trying to play it it's asking me to download the entire game to my c drive (with no option to change it!). I don't get it? What's the point of it 'streaming from the cloud' at a **** resolution if I have to download all the game files locally? How would that work on a mobile device? What am I missing here?

You're not downloading the game to your computer but to the virtual machine. It should download whatever you're trying to play pretty quick though.

Yep 4g on my phone in a hotel, the battery drain was far far less than I was expecting but makes sense as its not rendering anything and barely using the cpu, played for 3 hours and used 30%battery

You find a game you want to play and then when it says to install the game you click on install. 10 seconds later the game is installed on the remote pc.
I was playing on a 8 core cpu with a tesla p40 with 24gb of ram, another time it gave me a quad core with a tesla 10-8 with 4gb, so I guess I was sharing A system with Someone, both worked amazingly although the first system was obviously better, but unnoticed really

You're right just actually went ahead and did it. The steam install pop up was indicating I had to download the entire game to "c:\program files (x86)\steam" though, but when I clicked install it took a few seconds then fired up the game. This is a very confusing start that needs some attention.
My broadband DL speed is only 25Mbps max though (rural point to point 5Ghz) so I'm limited to 720p only. Ah well, won't be bothering with this then.

I went for the founders edition. It's basically turned my ancient Mac downstairs into a gaming rig when I don't quite fancy hiding in the man cave upstairs, it's a bit laggy on my connection but some games are better than others I've found. I'm sure it will improve over time?

Best game on it so far seems to be Doom which ran without hitch, almost as if the Mac was powering the game it self

Yeah Doom runs so well it was like I was playing my home pc with my phone screen being a monitor, quite a interesting experience and one I can see could destroy consoles in the future.

What sort of connection are you all on? Are your phones 5GHz compatible? Are you wired or wireless on your laptops with what connection speed?

I gave this a go last night on my home connection a whole 42 mb, and it was blurry and wouldn't go above 720p. I assume my connection just isn't good enough or was the game I chose not optimised for it ? (Hell let loose)
