Hi,

Brand new member on the forum.

I am planning in buying a Leadtek Geforce 7600 GT extreme to use for my HTPC.

I want to ask to main questions :
Is there a 7600 GT with an HDCP output?
Is Leadtek better than XFX?

Thanks for all your help.

If HDCP means something like High definition TV then, yeah, I'd be surprised if they don't have that as standard (but check with the sales guy on the phone to be sure). And XFX is probably generally considered better than Leadtek but that's probably more to do with the fact they do more overclocked cards. Personally I've not really found any difference in any of the manufacturers i've purchased from other than the software and peripherals bundle and the warrenty.

HI,
Thanks for the immediate reply.

While I posted this message I did some research on the net and it seems that none of the graphics card do actually support HDCP (which will be the new protocol for blu ray technology). HDCP is a system where content passed will be ecnrypted.

Regarding the other question if there is no difference between Leadtek and XFX I will stick to LeadTek since it seems that it has HDTV-out while the other one does not (It only has S-Video OUT.)

Once again thanks for your reply.

Asus are the only people to do a 7600GS card with HDCP, dont ask me where to buy it, but its the first one. There will be many more availble later in the year, closer to Vista's release.
