Anyone know is this ram is ok for Gigabyte DS3 board and a conroe 6400 chip ? Cheers > Sorry posting this in mobo section.. sorry.

I'll just give this a little bump for you.
I'm considering getting some of this for use with my E6600 & DS4 - mainly because of price.
Anybody use this RAM - any good?

Looks good! If they can easily manage 900MHz at CAS4 I can see them doing well over 1000MHz with slacker latency timings, I have a feeling these will clock just as well if not better than the G.Skill PC2-6400 HZ kits. Accept these cost less and do seem compatible with more motherboards. :)

P.S. Yes the ones OcUK has are the same as the ones in the review. :)
 
I want some of these :D I just need to know if their compaitable with the DS4s (965 chipset) I'll be ordering if they are...anyone tested? :cool:
 
Extremely close to buying too :)
Both me and my mate have E6400 & DS4 combinations.
I'm using Crucial DDR667 and he's running Kingston Value DDR667 and we both want to upgrade to some DDR800.

If this turns out to be a bit problematic to start with at least we could remain on our 667 RAM until Gigabyte hopefully fix these issues with a BIOS update.
 
Hi there

Well they work on 975, 955 and nForce4 chipset no problems at all. So I can't see any issues with other chipset and GeIL have good reputation of reliable modules that are compatible with most/all motherboards. :)

2x 2GB kits ordered for me and my mate.

We'll both report back on compatability with the DS4 as soon as we have them and have them installed.

There you go chaps, there is your confirmation !!

That means that this memory should work fine on all 965P based boards including the Gigabyte DS3, DS4 and DQ6 without issues. :)
