Geil DDR3

Anyone running this successfully on P67 boards? I notice Geil don't list P67 compatibility on their site yet...

I have tested with two sets of kit made by Geil on my Gigabyte P67A-UD7.

Work fine.

This benchmark was completed at 2133MHz on the ram.

GU34GB2133C9DCA is the part number of that set.

The other ram were Evo2 sticks.

The GeIL memory we sell at OcUK works fine with sandybridge at 1.50v

Ive got 8Gb ( 4x2Gb ) of the stuff running at 1.45v 1600Mhz.

Also managed to run it at 1866 with looser timings and 1.45v. This is the best ram i've ever had!

gonna get the 8gb kits and see how they run, wonder if they can manage 1600mhz at 1.5v. im guessing they may need more voltage to run 1600mhz at stock timings.

Mine does 1600Mhz at stok timings with 1.45v

^^ This, and you can manually set them to 1T as well as tightening the clocks up slightly to 9-9-8-24

i always used geil back in the day, the otrange stuff. looked sweet.

good too see theyre still making awesome stuff. might get 8gbs for my new i5 rig due to this thread, £37 is DIRt cheap

anyone know if geil do 4gb sticks though? i wanna have 2 sticks in 8gb, not 4, heard it puts stress on cpu and uses more power and can also make ocing harder.

can anyone back this up?

They do 4gb sticks in a 2x4gb kit on here, but tbh from running at 2x2gb to 4x2gb there has been no noticable effect on my overclocking.

I have 2 x4GB Geil sticks. My cooler prevent me from using all 4 slots so this works out better for me.

my 2nd set of geil 8gb ram arrived today, now i got 16 gigs of this value ram, and i do say thats its fantastic. like the first set the 2nd set also passes many hours of goldmemory memory test program and is linpak stable too. amazingly like the 1st set even with both sets in the system to make 16gb total the ram runs at 1600mhz using stock 1.5v set in bios. (do note that my mobo does seem to overvolt the ram a tiny bit.)

system is:

i5 750@ 160x21 (turbo on so 24x multi is used)
1.3000v for core
zalman flex tower with gentle typhoon fan
all other voltages set to NORMAL
16gb geil value plus 1600
corsair 520w
8800gt gigabyte 512mb with accelero-s1 and 12cm fan
p180mini
300gb veloci and 500gb wd blue
