Hi guys i just want some opinions on a few aspects of a potential build.

Im thinking of getting (no specifics yet):

Nvidia 480 gtx,
i7 2.66 or 2.8
6gb 1333 DDR3 memory
1000W modular psu
Coolermaster HAF 932 Case

Since i wont be using any liquid cooling and relying just on fans, is the HAF 932 good enough to cool the 480 since ive heard its really loud+hot.

Currently my Sli 8600gts 256mb idle's around 60 degrees and at load hits 90 degrees ( which i think is a lot?), is the 480 similar in heat?

Id be gaming at a resolution of around 1920 x 1080 too 1920 x 1200,
so is it really worth getting the 480 gtx or should i just get the 5870?
Although iv'e heard ATI have many driver problems?

Is a 1000W psu acceptible for future upgrades i.e potential sli or crossfire setup? With the current specs i know 1000W is a lot but would it affect the system or eat up extra power for no reason?

Sorry for all the questions but have not upgraded in years (guess u can tell from the 8600gts :().
Thanks.

1) From what I've seen the 480 tops out ~90C with Furmark
2) Yes it loud and hot but the HAF is a good case
3) Get a 5870, cooler, quieter and starts at £285. compared to the 480 at £390
I have a 5870 and it's just fine at 1920*1080.

Thanks for the info.

Guess i'll opt for the 5870, but reading all these problems regarding errors/drivers is a little nervy, or are these problems mainly associated with the crossfire setup? (never had an ATI card before).

Those problems are mainly issues with the crossfire setup. I'm sure they'll be working much better by the time you look into crossfire. The 5870s come highly recommended.
