General consensus on Mass Effect games (spoilers within)

I don't remember him not saying much after that moment, bit lame if he didn't.

Obviously he still has his set conversations but he no longer contributes in any other way after Virmire. Not to the missions anyway.
I think i read somewhere that the sniper in the trailer would be recruitable, but that was just a rumour.

BTW regarding graphics. Ther is a great ME2 mod manager which lets you very easily improve the graphics by changing the coalesced file. I have just seen that i did not do the texture improvement so maybe i could havegot it looking a bit better. You have to tone down the Depth of Field though imo.

I hope Mass Effect 3 doesn't go down the same path as Dragon Age 2, which for me was such a massive disappointment after DA: Origins :(

An article I read somewhere mentioned the simplifying of RPG elements which has me a little worried...

Mass Effect 2 is one of my favourite games, I will be gutted if 3 doesn't deliver.

I really enjoyed my play through of ME 1 and have just started playing 2, but something is just off about it. Not sure whether it's the mission structure or something I can't put my finger on, but I'm not enjoying it as much as the first game.
Still, I've only played a few hours, so will stick with it and see if it gets better.

I also fall into the group of people who prefered ME1, I got on better with the characters, and the RPG elements obviously weren't as simplified. The combat was definately better though in the second although it could get repetitive, and the inventory elements had needed refined from the 1st, but not as much as they did for the 2nd.

Like a few people have said, I genuinely hope the 3rd is a mix of what made the 1st and 2nd game good, rather than moving even further away from the 1st.

The second game also felt so so small compared to the first one though, even the hub areas were much smaller. The Citadel just seemed like a clear example of what had happened to the entire game. Didn't really care much about the new characters either. Legion was kinda cool, and Garrus and Tali were returning favourites, but most of the rest I just didn't really care about that much.

Hopefully all 3 of them will have strong roles in the 3rd game. The Shadow Broker expansion also hints that Liara should have a prominent supporting role even if she doesn't end up as a team member, but we can always hope. I wasn't a MASSIVE fan of her in the first game though. If I had to chose a team of five from the series, along with Shepard it'd be Tali, Kaiden [Carth :p], Garrus and Legion all the way. Kinda got more of a feel for the characters from the first one for some reason, I'm not really sure why, but I just didn't find them as...interesting.

Just found this. I would say that most of this is good news if true

In both Mass Effect 1 & 2, Shepard is able to recruit a large number of characters to utilize during missions and fill out the empty spaces of the Normandy. The problem however, is that for the entire game, most characters do nothing and in terms of story, they aren’t given that much screentime. Mass Effect 3 aims to bring back all of the (surviving) characters of the series but will limit the amount of playable ones.
We don’t yet know who’s playable in Mass Effect 3 but we assume Garrus will be back. A recent screenshot revealed Kaidan and Liara armed and ready alongside Shepard. Perhaps even though Shepard’s team will be “smaller” it will rotate characters and give you more overall? That’d be a neat way of reflecting back on those who helped you through the story so far.
I also like the look of this new-

Mass Effect Executive Producer Casey Hudson has now revealed that the only Romance options in the end of the trilogy will be with existing squadmates from the first two games, and will focus on the consequences of your romantic choices made previously.
It'a like i said, we don't need any new characters really, they have already established quite a few.

I'd like to see Kaiden come back in my game, given that he sacrificed himself so the rest could get off the planet :D

I should probably play through again and choose the other option next time :p

TBH i would let them both die if i could:D

"Yeah, yeah Ashley, haven't you got anything to sacrifice yourself over too? And tell Liara to come in on your way out!":D
