General Darts Thread

Morning men. Sorry I missed this last night. A long time booked dinner date caused the clash.

Both our phones went into aeroplane at 20:00, radio off in the car on the way home and we managed to avoid any spoilers. Finished watching the recording around 1am.

Just so so happy for the lad. He’s a legend already. His start got the job done and it was then just a case of holding his throw and ticking off the legs.

Shout out to MVG. I don’t dislike him but also I’m not his biggest fan, but he was absolutely class in defeat. Said everything I’d have wanted him to say.

2025 is going to be another great year.

Oranges and apples.

Taylor was a brilliant player, the best ever. This guys transforming the game. More viewers, front page, there 3 stories about him on the main page of the beeb for example. More dart boards sold than ever before!! He’s a kid who’s likeable as well which is massive. People who never watch darts are watching it.

His matches are getting the biggest viewing outside of football on tv!

Oh and on mainstream tv ads as well.

Wow, I just realised how close we are to the new season of the Premier League of darts!
  1. We have the Bahrain Darts Masters starting on January the 16th.
  2. Then we have the Dutch Masters starting on the 25th.
  3. Then the Winmau World Masters starting on the 30th of January.
  4. Last and definitely not the least, the first Premier League night starts 6th of February.
Glad we've got a two week break to get our excitement levels back up.

Watched the Rob and Rom Darts Special, a really poor episode! Some of them are not bad but this felt really stale, perhaps they've lost interest/the format is aging?
