General Darts Thread

There was brief bits of the old Bully there but he had a reasonably fortunate run to this stage not sure I’d be putting much on him going far at Ally Pally.

Bit like MVG with his wrist surgery I think the medical stuff has took that bit of consistency over long matches away.

It could be argued that it's at a higher standard and higher profile now as well. That only means it'll be even tougher for him to get back the very top.

Hard to see him making it back to the top.

There's a wealth of new, young and talented people in darts, supplanting current top players, never mind those trying to get back up the darting ladder.

Once the slide begins it's very hard to arrest it, same way I think it'll be an incredibly tall order for Jackpot to ever get back to the top table at the PDC again as the game has moved on. Best he could probably hope for is a top 32 fringe existence like Barney.

The money in the game is such now that it's a pretty worthwhile career to have a go at as a youngster plus the Littler effect there is probably a ton of kids playing the game to come through in time.

Not to mention the growth of the game in Europe. Used to just be Brits, Irish and Dutch but you're getting a fair contingent of decent Germans now as well.
