My order didn't arrive today.....

The tracking says "Unable to deliver, insufficient time available "

Anyone know if they try the next day or what. Their site updated after OC closed ofc so I can't ring to enquire and I am now left with a very bad taste in my mouth having wasted a day off for nothing and not knowing if the will be arsed to try again tomorrow

(the package left the depot at 08:11am btw......)
 
:(They will try to deliver the next day. Left depot at 08:11am just means the time the vehicle left the depot to start the multi-drop route. It's then down to where you are on that list and other conditions... RTA's etc etc. If the driver runs out of time the package is returned to depot and re-scheduled for the next day.

It happened to me from another company!!!

Finally got DPD on the phone and they frankly didn't give a ****.

Told them no one was available Friday and they cared even less.

Package now being returned to OC it seems.

(all made worse by the fact it is my birthday tomorrow and this has left me steaming mad.....grrr......)
 
Am calming down ...slowly...lol

But it's really annoyed me.

This was only my 2nd order with OC (i build 3 - 4 systems a month for people) and after the smooth sailing of the 1st order I didn't hesitate to do a 2nd larger one.

Now I have to cost in asking them to use a different courier on future orders as I would never use DPD again.

Anyway off topic. Thanks for your reply i have contacted OC and will no doubt call them in the morning when they reopen
 
Ugh bad times..will always get this from some companies..they simply cant be bothered to deliver and won't give you the time of day when you try to work out an alternative arrangement. Sorry to hear that it's at your birthday mate :(
 
That sucks mate, can you get them to hold it at the local depot (if DPD do that) so at least you have a chance to go and get it yourself on saturday maybe?
 
Final parts of a build for someone. Out tomorrow (my birthday after all) so i had to get a mate in Portsmouth to rush to a store there b4 they shut at 6pm to get the parts so i could finish tonight.

TBH i won't EVER have DPD deliver anything for me in future after calling them. But as OC also use Royal Mail it means I can still get some stuff from them.
 
I hate things that do that. Bought from another shop before.
Never gave a sh!t on stuff like delivery.
Eventauly 1 week later, I decided to contact them and they said the item was BACKORDERD on the day of order, and they never botherd to contact me.
So i told them where to stick it and hung up.
 
**update**

Not impressed with DPD but VERY impressed with OCUK.

Will definitely use again.
 
no didn't arrive but oc were very good about it

and thank you. prob should be working but day on net and eating cake isn't so bad (glad boss doesn't read these forums lol)

I'm working down in Portsmouth at the mo.
I know the store that your mate had to go to. Went to it myself the other day for a snoop about, as you do!!, and they could not give me directions back to Southsea !!! (about 4 miles away!)

I had this once where they couldnt deliver it in time, just rang them up and got them to assure ti would be delivered next day and it was. DPD arent the worst around by far
 
Great so I've woken up at 7AM to make sure I'm around for some bits I paid Sat Delivery for.

At 7.40AM according to tracking they were unable to deliver, no entry, calling card left.

No card left, not even seen a DPD van outside. Can't get through on the phone either

Fuming :mad:
 
OC is open though. My problem stemmed from the fact I could only speak to DPD and their call centre was rubbish. Give OC a call and see if they can help.
 
they're ok for me, i've been waiting for a parcel from city link for 2 days now. left a calling card each time but not even bothering to ring the doorbell :mad:
 
DPD are a pile of dog poo. End of story.
They're bloody useless - the main reason I dont order from OCuK (apart from the main rig components I bought last year). With the first delivery from them, they didnt knock on the door / ring the bell at all. Not even a "While you were out Card".. I had to walk out - (with NO slippers :p) and whack on the drivers door...

He looked like he was about to boil over.
Maybe they'll get better....
