Am I alone in thinking that this "general hardware" forum should either be removed, or all other hardware sections removed. Questions asked in the more specific forum areas go unanswered for a lot longer than the general area. Some posts are actually copied from the more specific area into the general area because the OP ran out of patience waiting for an answer to find an almost instaneous answer in the general area

Thoughts?
 
this is more of a trouble shooting/advice area when your not sure what it is related to. If your question is well formed and articulate, and isnt already answered a million times, and its not so obsure not even the true nerds of each area know the answer to it, you get answers pretty fast in the respective other forums.

Agreed, just pitch a good solid question with all related information and the answers should come in think and fast. Too many times you will see little to no support in a question, which just isn't worth your time to answer.
 
this doesnt explain why the exact same question when posted in the general area is answered much faster though
