Hmm... if it is, will we get This Instant and Moment back at the end of it?
I think it's spelled chode...

That's one of the things that made GD bad. Awful thread.
Exactly. It acted as a place where you could post whatever was on your mind that didn't deserve it's own thread. Instead, now people actually create threads about those same thoughts.
I didn't like the content of the instant and the moment thread but it did serve to keep a lot of crap out of the main body of the forum.
In a backwards way it was a benefit.

I heard Stephen Fry studies GD for Intellectual stimulation.

Magnolia should join the mod team, god that would be fun!
Do it......![]()
I do (mostly) like the GD topics but the spelling and grammar used often makes me wonder if we have young adults on the forum who did not achieve too highly in their English GCSE.
My spelling and grammar are certaintly far from perfect but asking an adult to use plurals when needed, the correct there/their/they're and the correct your/you're is not a big ask.
Just create a 'sin bin' sub forum where you can chuck people who post spam and nonsense and limit their access to other forums for a set time....
That way if people want to Post they can, but the rest of us don't have to trawl through the nonsense threads to find the good ones in GD....
I suspect that it will have a few permanent members such as thewelsmanwhopostslikebritboy and a few others.....![]()
Have a user rating system implemented. I know this has been discussed before and the alleged issue with this is a possible nepotistic outcome but I propose enabling it so that if someone (or an individual post) gets enough negatives (say 10) then they are suspended for a time period. Having it auto-refer to a Mod first to keep some kind of check in place against unscrupulous "voters"
My opinion is the same as most. Although lazy spelling/grammar annoys me, I don't have a problem with genuine mistyping as long as I can actually read a post and understand it but some of the actual post contents can be absolute drivel at time.
