General Upgrades to my computer & how to make it less noisey

I can't see myself overclocking anytime soon, I will eventually. Any suggestions on a Nofan CPU cooler?

I recommend the Nofan CR-95C. It will handle your CPU. The cooling is superior to the CR-80 and it has a better mounting mechanism. Do note that you will need to move your GPU to the second full PCIe slot. This will have no impact on games.

It doesn't make sense to run a 3570K at stock - if you're going to get a CPU cooler learn how to overclock that too.

I disagree, it doesn't make sense to overclock a CPU that's doing the job just fine.

Overclocking should be done when you want to get more performance from your system, not to reduce noise.

Don't get me wrong, I like an overclocked CPU as much as the next man (I'm running at 150% of stock), but I've underclocked CPU's too, when noise and energy consumption were more of an issue than computing power. It's about tuning your system to what you need, not just turning everything up to 11.

Do Crucial do the best SSD, because I have heard a lot of good things about the Samsung ones.

The Samsungs are slightly faster (in benchmarks, probably nothing noticeable in the real world). Haven't heard anything bad about either. I have a 512 Samsung myself and it's amazing.

I've had Samsung, Crucial, Toshiba and Intel for SSDs.

The Samsung is indeed the fastest but all are great upgrades from traditional HDDs. All of them will be a significant improvement.

One you go SSD you'll never go back.

I'm thinking more about the free performance you can get without increasing voltage.
