Generic Host Process for Win32 Service

I am trying to fix my pc and cant get it fix it i have tried searching the net etc. Everytime I boot the pc up i get this error Generic Host Process for Win32 Service I downloaded the hotfix from MS and it wont install at all.

How the hell do i get my pc running again without formatting as i dont really want to do that yet as aint got the time.

Hope someone can help

Boot up in safe mode?

 

[VeNT]

boot into safe mode
apply the fix
run a virus checker and the removal tool for blaster/sasser etc
install a firewall
reboot into normal mode
