Your right they are not cheap, BUT. I wanted this model to be very fast, thats all I wanted it for...So went the whole hog. Read what the pro boys were using in the states and they use this set up for combat flying as well. (Thats if you dont know.....(You and a few friends all get your flying wings and fly round hitting the other wings, a lot harder to do that is sounds))
good fun...!
My model I think costs like £30 for half a dozen pieces of EPP delivered from the states. Then £200 ish for the electronics. But hay, only live once....If I get bored I can always stick the gear in another model.
it doesnt half scream it's boobies off as well in a powerfull fast dive!
I dont know the magician, but I have 8 or so I/C engine model planes in the garage, from pylon racers, to 3D models, Mustangs, Funtana's, Old Bi-Planes. During the summer this year I was into and was slowly learning Prop Hanging. Not easy at all low down on the deck, have to have a lot of trust in your engine
Just had a look on Galaxy models web site about the Magician, looks fine, nice low winger. Good choice, sounds like they have sold plenty of them in the years,
