Does anyone else think homo-sapiens should be held accountable for the genocide of Neanderthals?

I realize it happened so long ago that you couldn't really prosecute anyone, but how about having a televised mock trial using actors to highlight the issue and raise awareness?

BTW it wasn't only neanderthals who got genocided, homo-sapiens genocided all sorts of people:

Probably not. There's no proof that it ever happened at all and it seems unlikely that it did. How do you think homo sapiens co-ordinated a continent-wide genocide back before humans even had horses to carry riders with messages, let alone modern communications systems?

Awareness of what? Awareness that some silly (speciesist? specist?) bigots think that everyone of a species is responsible for things that happened before they were even born, just because of their species? Or, in this case, things that very likely didn't even happen anyway.

It's not unusual for species to die out and be replaced by related species without a genocide.
