Really? Last team order I remember was them telling Hamilton not to hold up Rosberg. Or to let Rosberg past as he's faster. Or threatening him with pitting Rosberg first.

Fuel, it takes a lot more to save fuel than use extra. IE use 0.3kg more than you should for two laps, take 5 laps to say 0.15kg fuel a lap to make up for it.

Worst time to push in a race that will be tight on fuel is the first laps with the heaviest car. It's worth it if you make a move stick, if you don't you've cost yourself badly.

Thing is as yet, Max saying his rears are going... that was never against the rules, they were just broadcasting less radio messages, there wasn't less radio in general. I still think they shouldn't give direct coaching information, ie say to max Ricciardo is using 3rd gear in turn X, you're using 4th gear and wearing your tires out more.

Ricciardo might be getting screwed here, lost a second in the pitstop but if Rosberg does a fast lap he could easily get ahead of Ricciardo.

Though he might get held up by the Mclarens now.

Rosberg pitstop didn't help but he's taking an age to pass the first Mclaren, not clear if that cost him passing Ricciardo or not, could well have. Verstappen passes a Mclaren straight away, Rosberg with a faster car struggles... what a shocker.

Horner mentioned it after qualifying, first pitstops aren't really about tires being worn out, it's about people pitting as early as they can get away with to try to gain track position.
