Hey all

The below OC prebuilt PC comes with an optional RGB Lightbox for £99 but im not clear what this delivers, anyone enlighten me?

Dropping to 9700k as 9900k has no real difference for gaming to justify the £130 increase .

OCUK can build for £50-80 so a good saving there for you !

This time i don't want to build myself so want a prebuilt.. and want something that will last minimum 3 years hopefully 5 (accepting that a GPU upgrade will be necessary). With the recent CPU and GPU releases its made it more confusing (in a good way!)

I am tempted by the 2080 Super as want to game at 1440p UW but also considering just saying what the heck and taking a 2080TI with the 9900k

take the 2080ti! drop the 9900k! 9700k matches it pretty much !

if you like the Evolv case the P600s, better airflow and quieter

whats your monitor ? to be honest if your not driving 4k or 1440p ULTRA WIDE 120hz then take the 2080 super for 1440p 164hz or 1080p 240hz gaming

@orbitalwalsh currently have an i5 6600k with a 1070 and a 32" UW 3340x1440 - hence the need for a big upgrade

could even use Ryzen 3600 to be honest if it means grabbing 2080ti !!!!!!!!!!!! and least be honest, everyone wants to double the power then had.. going from 4 cores to 6 or to 8 !!!! POWER! HAHA

def 2080ti if that UW does more then 60hz!

if it is 60hz only then 2080 super should handle it

yeah its an Alienware AW34 GSync @120HZ. Lovely monitor needs a good card

shame cooler master case didnt have vertical mount ! also need to be able to handle triple slot cooler - most likely cases with 140mm exit fan should be able to take it like P600S/EVOLV

old thread but wanted to update!

Took receipt of new machine couple days ago and very very happy. Build quality is great, the Phanteks Evolve case is stunning (subjective i know but I am happy!)

Performance wise not done too much testing but its running a 9900k @4.8 and an Asus GeForce RTX 2080TI ROG Strix so it does everything without breaking sweat. Its super quite even with all the fans at 100% which is a massive plus.

@orbitalwalsh thanks! honestly not sure of pros and cons to positioning on front or top. I played about 2 hrs of BFV last night and CPU temps maxed at 68

think some cooler air for GPU and system, but if its working- dont fix it .. just enjoy

just looks a bit nicer up top IMO
